The Poaching Frogs' Club

Any Aristotelian empiricist can do this simple test.

1) Put a frog into a pan of cold water and he is happy.

2) Put a frog into a pan of hot water and he will quickly jump out.

3) Put a frog into a pan of cold water and gradually raise the temperature, say one degree per minute, and soon you will have a poached frog.

Why does this, somehow, remind me of...marriage?
